Contact
The Initiative is a small team and we are not always able to respond quickly. The notes below describe the right channel for the most common requests.
Collaboration and external review
Researchers proposing collaborative validation work, methodology critique, or replication of a published Initiative study can write to research [at] dietaryassessmentinitiative.org. A short description of the proposal — design, time horizon, expected output — is more useful than a long one.
Dataset access
Most Initiative dataset descriptors are openly available on the datasets page. Where the underlying photographic material is restricted by participant-consent terms, the access procedure is documented on the individual dataset page; please follow the procedure stated there rather than writing in the first instance.
Corrections and errata
Suspected errors in a published Initiative work — methodological, statistical, factual — should be sent to corrections [at] dietaryassessmentinitiative.org, with the publication identifier and a short description of the suspected issue. Reports are reviewed by Initiative staff outside the named author list of the publication in question.
Media
Journalists can reach the Initiative at media [at] dietaryassessmentinitiative.org. We are happy to discuss our published findings; we do not provide pre-publication access to in-progress work, and we do not provide quotes endorsing or rebutting individual products. Where a published Initiative work is being misrepresented in promotional or product material, we appreciate being told.
Postal address
The Initiative does not maintain a public postal address. Time-sensitive correspondence should be sent by email.
